Cleburne County High Point Trip Report

This was a repeat visit to the highpoint in Cheaha State Park (first visited by me August 13, 1992)
for the sake of Drew Fields.
From I-20 (exit 191), go south on US 431 for 3.5 miles. Turn right on CR 6 for 0.6 mile, following signs
for SR 281. Turn left, south, on 281, and follow it for 13.2 miles to the observation tower.
The benchmark is in the middle of the walkway to the tower.
The park is open daily from 8 AM to 9 PM, the entrance gate is locked at other times.
There is also a small day use fee.
