Lawrence County High Point Trip Report

I did this with Kevin Williamson and we used Mike Beavers' report. This went just fine for areas 1 through 5. For area 6 we drove my camper past an old, unused, metal gate out the road to the roofed-over picnic area with fire pit, but it was clear that Mike's directions could not be right after that.

We bushwhacked north and a little east to area 6 and found a primitive road leading to it which we followed back south to the road we had driven in on very near that metal gate. Once back at the roofed fire pit we decided to see what would happen if we followed Mike's directions. We hiked west over two dams holding back ponds, then up hill to signs showing we had crossed into Franklin County.
