Clark County High Point Trip Report
2 areas on Trap Mtn (960+ ft)

From the small town of Point Cedar at the junction of AR 347 and AR 84 hit the odometer and head west
on AR84. At 2.9 miles you'll pass the Clark County sign and at 4.9 miles you'll reach Deer Creek Rd on
the right. Turn right onto Deer Creek Rd and after 0.4 miles I parked in front of a house. I went over to
the residence and asked for permission to leave my car there and the lady had no problem with it. The
address is 189 Deer Park Rd.
Directly across the street is a rough dirt road that heads directly up the ridge of Trap Mountain. It's not
shown on the topos. It is marked by blue dots on both sides of its entrance and has a sign that mentions
"Leased By Diamond L Hunting Club". It appears from my experience in Arkansas that every piece of
back country land is leased by hunting clubs. I hiked up the dirt road and it conveniently wraps around
approximately where the Clark County line would reside on the peak. Made a few ventures here and there
into the woods to get any other likely spots for the 2 areas. Easy HP.
