Van Buren County's highpoint is located in the northwest part of the county near Una.

The highpoint book lists two areas above 2000' but arriving at the area, one definitely stood out. There is a new house located on the northernmost 2000' contour and it was at least 15 feet higher than the 2000' contour in the cow pasture across the road. I drove up the driveway of the house and knocked on the door and asked permission to walk around the yard, first explaining my highpoint obsession. The actual natural highpoint is at the northwest corner of the house about 10 feet away from it. There probably was a higher area, but it is now gone due to the house. Very easy to get to.
