Mohave County High Point Trip Report

If coming from Flagstaff or Phoenix, and if you don't need to go into Kingman, use I-40 exit 59 to paved
DW (or something like that) Ranch Rd. Go up the hill to the main Hualapai Mt. Rd over a small ridge.
After checking in at the entrance area, stay right and follow signs to "Rotary Rec 3". The signed trails start
on the left about 100 feet beyond a locked gate. Use the park trail map since Hualapai Peak is not
mentioned at trail junctions. You can get to the final east slope approach, as mentioned by Scott Surgent,
from the next-to-the-last switchback, which points NE. About two-and-a-half seconds of thought was
required to figure out how to get from the second-highest rock to the highest. No problem!
