Got a late start, hitting the trail about 10 am. No real access issues with this one. The register was found in a root beer can (this is a first!).

I decided to take a slightly different route back, taking a right at Shafer Flat and taking ranch roads (all private property) back to the top of the first ridge. This saved a few hundred feet of elevation gain but added on a half mile or so. I spotted a bobcat on the way back.

Round trip time was 5:15.
