Orange County High Point Trip Report
Santiago Peak
Date: October 16, 1999
Author: Walt O'Neil
Headed south on I-5 and went east on RT. 91 to Corona and proceeded south
on I-15 about 11 miles to the Indian Truck Trail exit. The pavement ended
shortly and we followed the dirt road winding up the hill about 8-9 miles
to a junction with the Main Divide Truck Trail and turned right.
Another 4.6 miles took us to the top where there was an abundance of towers
and we walked to the highest point. BM Santiago was very close to the HP.
It was dark when we arrived and a two-thirds moon helped with illumination.
