It took me about 1.25 hours to drive up along Indian Truck Trail to the summit, and an hour down. It is 11.8 miles one way from I-15 to the summit.

I decided to put my truck into 4wd for most of the way up and all the way down, just for better control. The road is narrow, sandy in parts and full of blind curves. The last 2 miles or so is considerably steeper and rockier - 4wd is probably required here. It was very warm (nearing 100 in Lake Elsinore) and dusty. The views are nice.
