This one is a classic. Being in Lassen National Park, a well-maintained 3.5 mile trail leads to the summit. The distance, elevation gain, summit elevation, and biota all have a strong resemblance to Mount Eddy [Trinity county highpoint]. And, as on Mount Eddy, the climb was calm but there was a stiff cold wind on the summit. And as on Mount Eddy, the summit view is dominated by a large volcano that's also a county HP -- this time, Lassen Peak only 4 air miles away.
