Adams County High Point Trip Report

This easy drive-up can be confusing. We tried to reach it a few years ago and could not find the correct road coming from the east. On this trip, we learned that the new toll road is finished, E 470, but there is no exit for the required road. Thus, coming from the airport, you have to go the wrong direction several times.

First, take E470 south to I-70 west, and exit that at the 2nd exit (Tower Road, exit 286). Go 0.3 mile south, and turn left (east) onto Smith Road Drive 2 miles, crossing under the freeway, and turn left again onto Picadilly Rd. After 0.3 mile, turn right onto 26th Avenue. Finally, drive 2.5 miles to the highpoint with nice views to the east.
