Crowley County High Point Trip Report
Date: April 5, 2002
Author: Barney Metz
We drove back roads using John Mitchler's and Dave Covill's book and ended up at the Schubert ranch as directed.
There was no one home and no one had answered the phone for 2 days. However, it does appear
someone is still living there, we just misconnected. There are 2 friendly ranch dogs there.
The directions from the book were excellent and easy to find this COHP.
I did not have my hand level so I walked the series of four spots that are in contention for the COHP.
I would agree that the one closest to the county line is the highest, but it is easy to walk this tiny ridge back to
the southeast that leads to the two track road that leads south back to the ranch.
I saw as many antelope as I did cattle.
