Morgan County Highpoint Trip Report
Judson Hills (4,935 ft)

We followed John and Dave's good directions to the TH off of CR4. The wind greeted us in earnest so we
donned our winter gear to take out the bite. This hike was straightforward, as we paralleled the road until
we met the east-west fence that led us near the highpoint. We crossed the fence at the 1.4 mile mark and
located both BM's just south of the fence. I wonder what happened to the west benchmark? There were
some nice views on this hp, which is rare for a low eastern hp. Longs and Meeker looked very impressive to
the west. We could also see Jackson Reservoir to the south. On the way back we passed over the
4,930 foot contour to the northwest for good measure.
Hike statistics: 2.8 miles and 56 minutes round trip with an 8:08 am start.
