Washington County High Point Trip Report

I got a late start on Saturday. I drove out on I-70, stopped in Byers to pick up snacks and then continued east on US 36. I turned south on S.H. 71, found and visited the Washington county CO HP, 5420+ feet. Conditions were clear and cold with two inches of snow under-foot, in the dark, the ground sloping away from the road. Easy.

While returning to S.H. 71 and U.S. 36 I stopped and climbed The Flattop, a few miles northwest of the HP - nice. I continued east on U.S. 36 to the Yuma county HP.
