Brevard County High Point Trip Report
spot elevation 1/4 mile southeast of City Point (83 ft)

See Fred Lobdell's posted trip report. As you approach the area on FL 528, the ridge and all the
landmarks he mentions are in plain view. Per his suggestion, I parked at the north end of the Amoco
station lot, and slogged through the sandy area to the ridge top, which takes about two minutes. You
arrive at the highest part of the ridge, and I thought the highest ground was where the sand road on top
bends to the south, near several white concrete/coral blocks strewn about. I walked south to the
Econolodge lot just to be sure, verifying the highest ground overlooks the gas station. This is a definite
gimme, and a very short detour off I-95 for anyone driving to south Florida.
