Permission to access the highpoint area was granted at the Research Station. Look for a long building with a room at the end labeled "Office". Their principle concern is that the research plots out in the underbrush remain undisturbed. There appear to be no research projects near any of the high areas.

To find the elusive fourth area in the woods follow a faint path bordering the tree line and the open scrub area stretching out from the fire-watch tower. By my reckoning the path passed about 100 yards south of the fourth area.
