Washington County Highpoint Trip Report
Date: March 25, 2008

We visited the Hardens (note correct spelling from mailbox) in Washington
county, Florida. Mr. Harden immediately said we looked like hikers, then warned us
about the variety of thorns in the woods. They don't own the highpoint; he
lives about 30 miles away in Bristol, FL, but Mr. Harden doesn't think he would
mind hikers. I'm glad I had a GPS point because the rise is very subtle.
We wandered the area, then returned to the house and chatted with the Hardens,
looked at birds, and enjoyed their view to the northeast. With their oldest
grandchild now 7, they offered Braxton his choice of the two small chairs on
their porch, and he chose the green camp chair. Nice folks! Instead of running
people off or charging a fee, they give us stuff for completing the highpoint.
