Brooks County High Point Trip Report
Date: February 17, 2001
Author: Fred Lobdell
The single HP area in Brooks County lies near the western edge of the county, about 3 miles east-
northeast of the village of Pavo.
From the intersection of GA routes 122 south and 133 in Pavo, go east on 133 for 3 blocks. Turn left
(north) and follow this county road as it bends northeast after 0.2 miles. Continue on this road for another
2.5 miles to where it bends north at an intersection with two lesser roads. Take this road for about 0.3
miles to where there is a tree line along the edge of a field on the left (west) side of the road.
There is a dirt track going back into the field alongside the tree line, and you can drive back to the high
area. It appears that the highest area is in the tree line between fields, and you should wander around in
there until you are satisfied that you have covered the high area.
