Columbia County Highpoint Trip Report

Columbia County actually has to fall under the category of "needs further review". On the topo, the county line is shown as indefinite, and approximately 800 feet of Cobbham Crossroads. When we got to the site, we found the county line is marked at Cobbham Crossroads, which would exclude the 600' area from the county. We did get the old 600' contour just in case, and found the high area of the 590' contour, which is the only 590' contour in the area. Kevin Williamson is going to check on the county boundary (apparently, county line changes in GA are not uncommon), and if the new boundary is correct, the county needs to be checked for any additional 590' contours.
