Haralson County High Point Trip Report
Reeds Mountain (1,560+ ft)
Date: April 8, 2000
Author: Fred Lobdell
Reeds Mountain lies about a mile south-southeast of the center of Bremen, just north of the
Carroll county line. It is privately owned, but the couple who live there are quite amenable
to having visitors. Please don't abuse their hospitality.
From the exit off I-20 for US 27, go north on 27 about 1.7 miles to the first right turn past
a large tank farm on the right (east) side of the road. Turn right and go about 0.2 miles
to a driveway on the left. Turn left and follow this driveway to the top of the hill,
where it ends at a house.
The driveway makes a small loop and the highest area seems to be inside the loop.
We chatted with the lady of the house, who seemed to enjoy having visitors.
The dog wasn't quite as friendly, but she had recently had puppies and was being protective.
