Mitchell County Highpoint Trip Report

We followed Denis Dean's excellent directions.

We agree the two areas near the Greenough Lookout Tower are best approached from the south than the closer, but more difficult, road to the north.

We used Denis' route for the third area but when we got to the "high area near the shed with farm equipment", we continued to the east following a ridge to the house bordering the county line. We felt the knoll the house was built on was higher than the eastern hill with the farm shed. The homeowner allowed us to wander about his property.
