From I-20, exit 90, take US 278 East 0.9 mile, then turn left onto GA 81. Go north 4.9 miles to the junction
with GA 142 on the right. This goes southeast to another interstate exit for those coming from the east.
Continue north on GA 81 another 0.6 mile and turn right onto Boogers Hill Road. Stay on this 2.3 miles to
a stop sign, then turn right onto Cornish Mountain Church Road. Go 0.5 mile and turn right onto Flat Rock Road,
then after 0.9 mile, turn left onto Cornish Mountain Road. Follow this 0.6 mile to a fire hydrant on
the right and park before or past it.
Cornish Mountain is on the left, and we backtracked about 100 feet and followed a gated, but unposted dirt
road into the woods a short distance, then bushwhacked up to the ridge, turned left, and hiked about 600
feet to the summit. There is a nice view of a huge water tank just southwest of the summit, and broken
views of the countryside in other directions.
