Paulding County High Point Trip Report

From Villa Rica at I-20 go north on GA 101 about 20 miles to Yorkville. Take US 278 east past the two prominent radio towers. I parked at a tiny turnout just beyond the gravel road northbound. The bushwhack was thorny but arrived at a water tower from which I could see the adjacent fire tower. The tower was posted keep out -- state property. No one was there, so hopefully the sign referred to the tower and not the entire area. The gravel road arrives at the tower from the east (I think it departs 278 at the first driveway east of where I parked, where I noted a chained gravel road). Parking is just as limited there, even if permission to park were granted by the residents. My route was not posted.
