Talbot County High Point Trip Report
Date: December 17, 2000
Authors: Trapper Robbins & Roxanne Everett
As noted in previous reports, parking on US27A/GA85 is dangerous. The GA85/GA190 junction is about
0.4m from the county line on GA85 and this seemed like an unpleasant highway walk. Instead of parking
at that junction, we continued SE on GA190 and parked at the county line (signed); there is plenty of good
parking at that point. From there, we bushwhacked 0.2m straight W along county line downhill across a
small creek and up to GA85 (again, county line signed). Cross GA85 and continue off-trail uphill along
county line to COHP area (as noted in previous reports).
Note that the bushwhack was very easy in mid-winter but it appeared the area near the
small stream crossing might have dense vegetation at other times of year.
