Daniel Bar Mitzvah Photographs

OVERVIEW

Daniel's 2014 Bar Mitzvah is an opportunity for the extended family to meet and celebrate a significant milestone.

There are three official events -

This photographic essay is provided by Adam, the events portrayed being those he and Blossom experienced -
beginning with their drive north via San Luis Obispo.

San Diego to San Luis Obispo

Adam drives on Thursday, October 16 north from San Diego, retrieving his mother Blossom at her Encino home.
They proceed to her favorite hotel - the Apple Farm in San Luis Obispo.

Friday Morning

Mom and Adam complete the drive into Monterey/Salinas, first visiting Dale at his Salinas office. They deposit gifts at Dana and Dale's ranch home and visit Norman for a first-time view of his absolutely gorgeous gravestone. They check-into their room at the Hilton Garden Inn where Blossom and Norman have gone for dozens of years. Finally by around 1 p.m. there is lunch at Gino's Pizza back in Salinas.

Friday Evening

Religious services at Congregation Beth Israel. The Jewish new year, Rosh Hashanah has just concluded. Hence this week's reading portion from the Torah is from its very start. In a most unusual act, the entire Torah scroll is unrolled and displayed along the prayer sanctuary's periphery.
