Hamilton County's 8 high point areas are located in Sections 2,3,10 and 14 of Blairsburg Township.
area 1
From the intersection of County Road D20 and U.S. Highway 69 (3.5 miles west of I-35),
I drove north on U.S. 69 for 1.0 mile.
Then I turned left onto 180th St, and drove west for 0.8 mile.
I parked in an approach 0.1 mile from the top of area 1.
areas 1 and 2
I arrived at the top of area 1 in 5 minutes.
From area 1, it took 3 minutes to get to the top of area 2, unremarkable field hills.
12 minutes round trip.
I continued driving west on 180th for about 0.2 mile, and turned right onto Queens Ave.
I was looking for the driveway that goes west from Queens,
and leads to the farmplace that occupies area 3, but I could not find it.
I concluded that both the driveway and the farmplace were destroyed for farmland.
areas 3 and 4
So I parked opposite area 3 about a half-mile away and walked west across the field.
From area 3, I walked northeast to area 4. Total time for these two areas was 52 minutes.
I turned around here and drove north to the next intersection-165th St.
I drove west on 165th for 0.2 mile and parked next to area 6.
area 5
I walked southwest to area 5. I got there in 5 minutes.
area 6
I walked back to my parking place, and across the road to area 6 -- another 5 minutes.
From here, I turned around, then left onto Queens Ave.
I drove north on Queens for 0.3 mile, and parked opposite area 7.
area 7
Elongated field hill -- I arrived there in 3 minutes.
From there, I continued north on Queens for 0.2 mile to the county line and parked.
area 8
As I walked around area 8, I concluded that all of the high ground is road buildup and county line berm.
