Sac County High Point Trip Report

From the intersection of US 59 and Iowa 39 in Denison, head north on Route 39 for 14.5 miles to the intersection with M35. Turn left, and continue north on M35 for 4 miles to D59. Turn left on D59 and proceed west for 1 mile to Buchanan Avenue. Turn right on Buchanan and go north for about 0.45 mile, stopping on the second "crest" in the road. The highpoint is clearly visible out in the bean field to the east. Because of the drought this year, the beans hadn't grown much at all, so it was easy to walk out into the field between the rows. Nice, moderate views from the top.
