At Sandpoint, ID got directions to Scotchman Peak Trail (#65) at ranger station.

Directions read as follows:

From Sandpoint take route 200 to Clark Fork and turn left at Chevron Gas Station. After that drive 1.2, turn left, drive 1.4, turn right, drive 1.0, turn left, drive 0.5, turn left, drive 2.1, turn left, drive 0.1.

Good trail, exposed rocks only at top. The HP is the knob just 100' ENE of the knob with the Scotchman BM and remains of a one-time LO. If the BM is 7009, the HP would be about 7011. This point is very easy to get to. The other 7000+ point is much lower and hard to get to. I didn't go over there.

Statistics: 4.75 hours, 5 miles, 3700 feet elevation gain.
