We headed up the trail and onto the top of Mount Baird. The trail tread is very good but the trail is so overgrown that, when the vegetation is wet, you will soon be also. The northwest ridge has a couple of spots with almost third class dirt and some exposure but you can crash through the trees if need be.

Climb statistics: 8 miles with 4,200 feet of elevation gain.
