One can drive, with high clearance, over the top of Blacklead Mountain and down the other side north to a saddle at 7100 ft. Here you can use TR 508 to get to Rhodes. Climbed Williams Mountain on way out and UN 7699 on the return. Nice register on Rhodes with greased threads and more grease for the threads inside the register.
