Turn west onto Highway 243 from Highway 89 west of Bear Lake Summit. Drive 0.7 mile and turn right
onto an unsigned gravel road. Go straight at 0.8 mile at a left split from the gravel road. From 0.8 to 3.2
miles, the road is quite rough, but very passable in a normal car. Pass Beaver Creek campground at 4.8
miles. Turn left at the signed split to Egan Basin at 6.6 miles. When the road bears left toward Danish
Pass, park on the right at 10.5 miles.
A faint road heads this way, but a sign states 'No Motorized Vehicles' and I complied. The hike from here
is northeast and about a mile to the top, sometimes steep. Bear Lake is visible from the top.
