In east central IL, the flat farmland of Edgar has a wooded highpoint - two small rises along the Embarras River drainage. Dick Ellsworth and I used Tim Worth's trip report to visit these spots. From US36, go south on IL49 for 16 miles to IL16 (7 miles south of IL133). Turn left (east) on IL16 and go 5 miles to 625E (Grandview-Dudley Road). Turn right (south) and go a mile south into Grandview. Stay right at the south edge of town and stay left 0.3 mile out of town. Continue 2.2 miles to 300N and go 0.9 mile right (west) to a squat silo. The HP is reached by following the woods edge north and then east to the wooded fence line. The second area can be approached from the west, 0.2 mile north of 300N at a horse barn. Follow the ridge east into a fallow field with woods to your left (north) which is the route Tim took.
