Hardin County Highpoint Trip Report
on High Knob (880+ ft)
Date: April 28, 2006

I followed the directions in John Mitchler's report for this CoHP and found the
pond he mentions, although I did not see the fence. I think the area of high
rocky outcrop just east of the present road is the Hardin CoHP. On the
northeast side of this outcrop were a couple of National Forest boundary markers,
which probably also mark the county line. This is in good agreement with the map.
It would be helpful if the next visitor to this HP would bring a GPS unit
to confirm the location.
Gallatin County (High Knob, 929 feet) is an almost-twofer with Hardin County.
