Peoria County High Point Trip Report

I headed back to the Midwest for Thanksgiving and was able to squeeze in one COHP between continuous
servings of turkey and ham. My family (wife, mom, and sister) joined me for the five points in Peoria county
(central Illinois), although they quickly lost interest when corn field walking became part of the agenda.
I followed the precise directions of John Mitchler, and they were of great help. Just a couple details to add.
Area 5 is located off of Akron road, not Akien, but the mileage is right on. Also at area 5, I talked with a
the lady who owns the house and she pointed out the USGS marker "Pulley" that had recently been dug up
and replaced by some county workers. It is located on the right side of the road/driveway near some trees
and is easy to spot. Although I agreed with John that the radio antenna area looked higher.
