Piatt County High Point Trip Report
Blue Ridge

Bring a bag to puke in while doing this multi-area flatty in central IL.
Dick Ellsworth and I owe Tim Worth a beer for pioneering the directions here.
Why does county highpointing have to have these counties? While Tim suffered
through mud corn/soy fields, we enjoyed a frozen snow surface. We copped quite
a few levels. They proved little though. Basically, you need to visit all the
areas in section 5. The areas in section 22 leveled lower.
For section 23, walk the railroad north and then swing southeast along the
highpoint areas. We spoke to a guy in the house in the center of the south line
of section 22 and he explained the ownership of the surrounding land and when we
asked where he thought the highest point was he pointed immediately to the
railroad overpass. Clever man.
We walked the areas along the north part of section 26. We then drove out to
the tiny areas in central section 26 via a lane from the south. The west area
and south area leveled to be the highest there.
