Clay County High Point Trip Report

From Brazil, Indiana, drive east on US 40 six miles to the county line. Turn left (north) on the county line road and proceed 3.75 miles to an intersection with East County Road. At this point, you are at the intersection of Clay, Parke, and Putnam Counties. Turn left (west) and drive a bit more than 0.25 mile to a house on your left (south). This is the property of Jim and Lisa Stevenson. Lisa was friendly and knew they lived on the county high point. I believe the highest area is right in the yard to the east of their house.

This one can be easily combined with a trip to Parke County, although you will have to approach from Indiana 59 or the town of Mansfield on back roads.
