From the intersection of Indiana Routes 64 and 65 in the heart of Princeton, drive north on Route 65 for 1.7
miles to where the main highway bends to the right. Watch for Road 000 on your left (north) and follow it
for just a short distance as it twists right, then sharply left as it ascends the hill.
I found a spot to park off the road on the inside curve at this second bend.
Area 1 is off to your right where at least two houses sit on the highest contour. I hiked up along the
southern edge of the property line/contour and found a relatively undisturbed area near a telephone pole and
a spruce tree with an old gravestone propped up against it.
The second area which is north and west of the first site, is not easily accessed directly from the street
because of a steep bank, a fence and lots of brush. I bushwhacked my way into this area from the north,
but I think a much easier approach would be from the south. Just north of where you parked on the curve,
find a black mailbox (Kendle Box 177) which is opposite a gray stone house on the left. Ask permission at the
house to hike north along the edge of their property, and parallel the road for several hundred feet until you
ascend to a brushy, partially open, partially wooded knoll. I believe the highest spot within the contour is
just into the woods and somewhat off to the left (west), but the brush and briars made visibility difficult.
