Johnson County High Point Trip Report
one area near south county line (1,010+ ft)

Finding the small settlement of Peoga is challenging. I tried to get there from the south, but the lack of
numbered county roads had me literally going in circles. I think the best approach to this area is probably
from the north. As you go south on Indiana 135, it makes an abrupt turn to the right (west) at a settlement
called Trafalgar. Turn east on Indiana 252 and only go about 200 feet to an intersection that is marked as
Indian Creek Drive (300W Rd). Go south on this road for several miles until it bends prominently to the
east, where you will find another intersection which continues south. Turn right (south) and continue on this
road (250 W Road) for about 1.5 miles to the tiny settlement of Peoga. Watch for a road that goes off to
the right near a small convenience store. This is 900 S Road. Turn onto this road and go just a short
distance to a Methodist church and cemetery.
Park in the parking lot, and walk west along the road which bends sharply to the right at the church.
The county line is in the middle of this road. Walk to the top of the hill, and just before you come to
mailbox #5529, climb the bank to your right and crash through the brush. The high point area starts at the
edge of the bank and extends out a bit into a cornfield.
