Spencer County High Point Trip Report

From the intersection of Routes 66 and 545 in the center of the town of Troy, go west on Route 66 for 0.8
mile to Maxville and turn north on 1290 E Road. Follow this road for 1.4 miles and turn left at 925 N Road.
Follow the road for the next 1.5 miles and keep right at two intersections as you gradually curve north.
When the road turns sharply left (west) find a place to park near a drive that goes north.
Cross the fence at the fence corner and stay on the south side of the fence line as you head east into the pasture.
Cross the stream and then cross two more fences as you ascend up the hill and into the woods.
Continue up a ridge, following a very old trace that is lined with briars and brush to a small, relatively flat
top that is the highpoint. There is no view, but the hike down the hill and across pasture can be quite
pleasant at sunset.
