Allen County High Point Trip Report

From Lone Elm drive south 3 miles to the Allen county line and pull into the driveway and house just at the line. Nobody was home, so I went down the back fence line, at the back edge of a field, for 100 yards to the hill crest on the county line. I put my foot under the fence, then turned and went back. I pulled out of the driveway and pulled over to figure out my route when a truck pulled into the driveway and parked, and a man got out and walked over. He asked what I was doing, and I explained that I was figuring out where I wanted to go. It turns out he was the owner, and was at his son's house just down the road. He saw me knock at the door first and then go, so he didn't mind. He was impressed with all my maps. I asked if others could come and follow the fence to the highpoint if nobody was home, and he said it would be OK. His name is Gary Briggs.
