Chautauqua County Highpoint Trip Report

This small area is in the extreme northwestern corner of the county. Drive west from Winfield on US180, KS15, and KS38. Nine miles east of the junction of 15 and 38, look for a ranch road leading north. This is less than a mile west of the Cowley-Chautauqua county line. With permission, drive north about 4 miles, passing through 5 gates. Take a minor road to the right just south of elevation point 1405 on the topo. Make a short walk to the hp, which is just east of the Cowley county line.
