Johnson County Highpoint Trip Report

I used the directions from Dave Covill & Don Holmes on this one. This time, I had my GPS and a map. I was familiar with Old Metcalf, so I had no problems finding it. I took Metcalf south from 159th Street to the Schwartz farm, about 1.6 miles south of 199th Street.

I knocked on both doors of the house and nobody was home. I plotted a way point in the middle of the 1,130-foot contour, which placed me in the middle of a corn field east of the white barn on the farm. I then walked over to the area southeast of the barn between two cornfields, which appeared to be the hp. The other two 1,130-foot contours northwest of the farm were posted.
