From Booneville take KY30 east about 4 miles and turn north onto KY708. Look for a house on the right at about mile 2.5 with a barber shop sign next to the road, just before a small road goes left. This is the owner of part of the ridge and he says it is best to park at his house due to the neighbors at the top of the hill.

Park at his house and walk up the road to the crest, then take an ATV trail east along the ridge. At 0.4 mile, leave the ATV trail, which follows the south ridge, and continue east up the ridge. After 100 yards, on the left side of this summit, another ATV trail is intersected and a fence to negotiate simply by walking around it on the left. Follow this ATV road, with some blackberry sections, east another 0.45 mile to the summit.

Many Hooded Warblers, Cerulean Warblers, Ovenbirds, Red-Eyed Vireo were at the summit. Yellow Warbler, Black-and-White Warbler, Common Yellowthroat, Acadian Flycatcher, and Black-Throated Green Warblers were along the trail. Also along the trail I caught a 3-foot long Black snake and let Braxton get a close look at it, made sure the whole family touched it, then let it go. Two Box Turtles were also lounging in different spots on the trail.
