Leslie County Highpoint Trip Report

I visited Peters Knob which no one need visit to claim the Leslie hp as AT LEAST 100 feet have been
lopped off the top by mining. Area has been reclaimed with grass and mustard having been planted.
For the point on Chestnut Knob I got to the Reuben Branch Road mentioned by Levi Foust, drove up the
0.4 mile to the house of Paul Caldwell. Here I lucked out and things went differently from Levi's trip.
Paul and others were heading up the 4WD road and ATV trails in 4 ATV's to plant a gravestone at the grave site
of a relative. They escorted me up in there as I followed them in my truck. We almost immediately forded a
stream and after 0.4 mile we took a right, forded another stream and 1.5 miles after THAT I parked.
So I got my truck 1.9 miles up in there. The 4 ATV's went on up the trail that I think is the one Levi mentions,
but Paul showed me a branch ATV trail which I hiked to a ridge NORTH of Chestnut Knob.
At that point I headed SOUTH to the knob then west to the hp as Levi mentions.
