Lewis County High Point Trip Report

From Interstate 64, take exit 137 and drive north about a mile on KY32 to the junction with KY377.
Turn right onto KY377 and drive 17.7 miles, and turn left onto graveled Hardy Fork Road. Bear right at mile 19.0.
The road deteriorates to dirt/gravel and narrows after a right bend at about mile 20. The ridge to the
highpoint is on the left at mile 20.3, but it is too narrow to park. Due to muddy conditions, we backed up
about 0.2 mile and parked at a wide spot, then walked back up the road.
The road gets steeper just past this point, as shown on the map. We hiked up the steep hillside to the top,
which had several leaves and blackberry plants on it. We tromped around a little, but couldn't find the BM.
Highest ground is at a large tree on top.
