Putnam Knob (1260+ feet)

From the junction of US68/KY243 South, go west on US68 2.4 miles and turn left onto Riley Road, then 0.5 mile and turn right onto unnamed Goose Creek Road. This goes 2.0 miles and tees into Tatum Lane. Turn right and go 0.5 mile and turn into the first drive, a brown chert driveway. This road could be driven to the top with a high clearance 2WD, and we made it to a large flat parking area about 0.25 mile in but the road had washed out some the week before from heavy rains. We hiked up the road 0.5 mile to the top, which opens onto a grassy field and has a very nice shaded lookout to the north at the summit.
