Pendleton County High Point Trip Report

three areas 1000 ft and 2000 ft NNE of Doughton

From exit 154 of I-75 go East to intersection with 25 North. Turn left and go 1.0 miles and turn right on Route 22 East. Go 4.0 winding miles (just into Preston County) and turn left on Hogg Ridge Road. Drive to the crest with one HP to the right, and one to the left. The one to the left is just off the road in a yard, and the one to the right is set back a little farther in a yard (near a yellow trailer-home). I didn't find any people although it looked like someone was home at the trailer-home (guess I didn't knock hard enough). The 3rd HP is just a little further on Hogg Ridge Road, very close to the water tower.

one area 1 1/8 mile NE of Bachelor's Rest - by SR 22

I suppose you could continue from Doughton on Route 22. I took back-roads from Campbell County's HPs, which I didn't take notes for. I did meet up with Route 22 from Route 3173. From there it is 5.1 miles East to Bachelor's Rest Road where there is a radio tower. The HP is up in the field near the tower.
