Pike County Highpoint Trip Report

Previous directions may be correct, but I came from the Buchanan County side. In Clintwood, turn at the Rite-Aid onto Route 613 (Brush Creek Road) at the sign for "Birch Knob Tower". Follow the signs for 10.1 miles until the parking lot. The road has been tamed and it is a very sane drive.

Walk up the hill to the stairs for the tower. The actual BM is obvious on the rock, but you will have to climb a bit to get to it. I brought the dogs up the "tower" which was a mistake. The little one's paws were too small for the metal grid, so I had to carry her down. Nice views, though.
