I tried to find the owner a couple of times, but he was never home, so we parked at the rest area (about 1 mile east of Smiths Grove Exit 38 on I-65) and crossed the dilapidated fence and followed the ridge south to the top. There are some hunting stands on the ridge, so this area is used during hunting season.
