eleven areas near Pitreville and Church Point (55+ ft)

Like Bob martin's experience, this one required lots of driving. Three spot elevations of 57 feet are found near Pitreville at the northeast corner of the parish and nearby. One along Wagon Road to the southwest is near a stand of natural woods, with about a foot differential over the road. This may be the likeliest HP area. We simply drove all over these roads, getting out to set foot within the areas and as we saw fit. The areas near Church Point are small and probably not in contention. Beware of confusing highway signs and a re-route of the highway LA-35 near one of the HP areas along Plaquemines Road.
