Red River Parish High Point Trip Report

From the intersection LA 514 and LA 783 drove north on 783 about a mile and turned east (that is not an
error) onto and parked off Parish Road 348 (poor dirt). Directly across 783 from 348 were forest tracks
going west and curving south to one hp area (320+ ft). Near a hunting blind at crest of tracks my GPS
read (32° 11.878' N, 93° 20.038' W). No view. Bloodied myself pushing a little east-west into heavy brush,
thorns looking for a higher spot.
For the other areas, from the 514-783 intersection I drove west on 514, then north on Parish Road 325 to a
locked metal gate, posted. Walked west and up onto very old gravel pit area and got up on every hp I could
find, including two 330+ ft areas north in Bienville Parish. I think I could pick out the contours shown on the map.
All seem man made (piles built up by bulldozers) except the southeast one.
